Bioanalytical
RxGen has partnered with Molecular MS Diagnostics, an analytical and bioanalytical laboratory providing a full range of services, including LC-MS/MS method development, and method verification and validation, drug impurity assays, plasma and blood stability assays, and plasma and urine analysis of drug levels. This partnership assures rapid generation of bioanalytical data of the highest quality with the tailoring of methodologies and protocols to specific client needs.

Physiologic and Biochemical Measures
The RxGen team has a record of accomplishments in monitoring physiologic and biochemical processes in primates, ranging from standard clinical chemistries and basic physiological measurements (e.g., temperature, heart rate, respiration, body weight, body mass index, fluid and dietary intake) to sophisticated biochemical enzyme assays (e.g., MAO), radioimmunoassays, high performance liquid chromatography, mass spectroscopy and NMR.

Neuropsychological and Psychomotor Testing
RxGen is capable of multi-dimensional assessments of disruptions and/or enhancements in cognitive and psychomotor function, including spatial working and long-term recognition memory, attentional and executive functions, sensorimotor gating, motivation and fine motor skills.

Neurological Testing
Characterizing therapeutic efficacy of CNS active compounds is greatly enhanced by the quantification of neuromotor behavior. RxGen’s ability to perform observational and video recorded, behavior assessments allows quantitative measurement of functional loss and recovery.

Functional Genomics
The RxGen team has knowledge and experience with genomic methodologies for characterizing disease mechanisms and therapeutic responses. RxGen principals have a proven record of biomarker discovery in CNS and other diseases, enabling us to identify and characterize disease subclasses as well as differential drug responses. Functional genomics capabilities include generating RNA samples, gene expression analysis, and bioinformatics.

In Vivo Imaging
Characterization of disease conditions as well as drug responses is often facilitated by in vivo imaging. SPECT imaging systems and tailored imaging ligands are available for in vivo assessment of biological processes such as receptor changes and neuronal loss. Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is employed to assess bone density and body composition. Ultrasound is utilized for prenatal monitoring and noninvasive anatomic assessments.
